Segments
Manage multiple small estates inside a larger estate, or groups with different payment days in a week.
Many estate operations are more complex than a single unit. Oak's segments feature lets you organize your operations into logical divisions while maintaining unified management and reporting.
What Are Segments?
Segments are independent subdivisions within your Oak account. Each segment can have its own workers, payment schedules, and operational settings while sharing common resources and unified reporting at the parent level.
Use Cases
- Multiple Estates: Manage several small estates under one account with separate worker pools and financials for each.
- Different Payment Days: Some workers paid on Saturday, others on Wednesday? Segments keep payment cycles independent.
- Operational Divisions: Separate coffee processing from field operations, or nursery from main estate.
- Geographic Separation: Estates in different locations managed as separate segments with their own weather data and land records.
Segment Independence
- Separate Workers: Each segment has its own worker roster—no overlap or confusion.
- Independent Payments: Run weekly payments for each segment on different days without affecting others.
- Isolated Data: Work records, attendance, and finances are tracked separately per segment.
Unified Management
- Consolidated Reports: Generate reports across all segments or drill down into individual ones.
- Shared Settings: Activities, inventory items, and other configurations can be shared across segments.
- Single Dashboard: Switch between segments easily while maintaining a unified view of your entire operation.
Access Control Integration
Segments work seamlessly with user management. Assign supervisors to specific segments so they only see and manage their area of responsibility while estate owners maintain visibility across everything.
